It’s been a veeeeery long time for me. I sort of forgot about them, and then a friend brought them up in a conversation about bands that were ahead of their time. I agreed they were indeed ahead of their time, and he mentioned they’re still going strong. Them bam, I see them playing in my backyard!

I agree with you on this. Even if the messengers may be flawed (and all of them/us are), it doesn’t mean the message isn’t spot on.

I rarely listen to first sets in their entirety. This is an exception and one that I’ve listened to several times.

My college roommate died at 45 from colon cancer, leaving a wife and two toddlers. We don’t know why, but rates are growing rapidly among younger people. So i recommend everyone, starting at 35 or 40, do the much less invasive cologuard test. While not as accurate, it gets you about 90% protected.

And they say we can’t raise taxes on the wealthy. These people have so much money they’re inventing new shit to spend it on. Millions of people are starving, and these assholes are spending thousands on inedible gourds that after a month will go into a landfill.

I get that. I think Phish’s WGTYM is too long. But even so, I’d think people would be able to recognize and talk about good jams, regardless of what song they emerge from in the set.
