Never Two Late – Our Journey October Update We’ve booked our passage through Harecastle Tunnel for the end of the month — it’ll be interesting to see just how spooky it feels at this time of year! Trent & Mersey Canal We’ve been enjoying some more lovely walks through the beautiful Staffordshire countryside, taking in the changing colours of autumn along the towpath. Before we left, we paid another visit to our favourite Italian restaurant in Stone — it really is excellent and will be missed!

There’s an abundance of elderflowers at the moment, today on my walk with Mexi I picked a few heads and decided to make Lime & Elderflower Curd. This will be very tasty with a chunk of homemade bread or as a base for a frangipane tart.
