I would think that drainage is still important in the soil around, so water don’t enter and drown the worms. There should also still be some air circulation to secure aerobic conditions. The worms don’t like anaerobic conditions. But maybe not packing the kitchen scraps is enough?

How does air get circulated? Or is it anaerobic composting?
Is looks a bit like the thought behind a keyhole garden, just with everything buried.

It’s when things are freezing you start feeling gratitude to the baddies who can endure. Cabbage, salads, chards and of cause the leeks. 🌱 #gardening

It is! For the next couple of weeks. The frost is creeping in.

The german Iron Front in the 1930s comes to mind. Fighting against both the communist and the nazis trying to defend the Weimar Republic. The bad blood between the communists and the Iron Front resulted in the Nazis gaining ultimate power. So please collaborate (and don’t be violent) 🙂

In Denmark thistles are mostly considered an annoying weed. But look at that nice pale purple colour mixing with the other wild flowers, providing a helipad for our buzzing friends 🙂

Peak heatwave. Managed to lower temperature i greenhouse by 10C in 15min by pouring water over it and let it evaporate.
Rinse and repeat! (Well you don’t have to rinse, that’s kind of the process)

I don’t know if it’s actually called a sun beetle, that’s the danish name.
Marigolds are called Lady Morning, which is also a fitting name for them 🙂
