I don't use any palette, but here is my current palette based on all my sprites. Notice that it lacks purple hue.
And please follow this rule for better recolor:
1. Outline with HEX #414040, no color darker than it
2. Only 2 transparency allowed: #000000 with alpha 23 and #000000 with alpha 43

The shape is already well done! For color use dark shade first, then light the tone up!
The logic is tree trunk is always below the leaves, so it is almost always shaded. The lighter colors are the details.
PS: Do the inverse if you're doing palm tree or savanna trees,

It's rather difficult to answer that question since I work on 16x16 px-base. Currently any Poke/Fakemon-based sprite can do as placeholder.
But if you need 32x32 px-base sprite, SPUM (soonsoon) assets in Unity asset store will be my first suggestion, since for me only their color that won't match.

None at the moment. I have considered releasing that but it turned out almost as big as a house when I try to preserve the details. The smaller one has less details, and there is chance for me to implement it anyway for the upcoming Set 02 update.
