10.02.2026 23:03 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Statement from Carleton MP Bruce Fanjoy to his constituents On February 5th, 2026, the federal government announced an updated Return-to-Office (RTO) policy for federal public servants. Today, I am calling upon the government to reconsider this policy for the following reasons: 1. The new RTO policy makes it harder to achieve the government's priorities of reducing the operating cost of government, improving affordability, and respecting the environment. Instead, it will cost both the government and citizens more and increase pollution. 2. There is little to no evidence that a one-size-fits-all RTO policy will improve productivity or service to Canadians. 3. The RTO policy makes it harder for public servants to balance work with other responsibilities. I believe Canada is better served by a hybrid model that balances a mix of in-office and remote work. The right balance is flexible and depends on circumstances. Done well, a hybrid model reduces the cost of government and benefits workers and all Canadians. To my constituents in Carleton, I hear you. I will continue to press for solutions that work for you and all Canadians. Sincerely, Bruce Fanjoy Member of Parliament for Carleton
Thank you to MP @brucefanjoy.bsky.social for this statement on @mark-carney.bsky.social rigid Return to Office Policy
RTO costs employers money, increases attrition with no gain in productivity, drives mothers, disabled & racialized folks out of the workforce

Just remember, this is what led to Putin's war in Ukraine.
Slice off pieces and say they're yours, then attack and try to take the rest.
For the "Trump does not need to invade Canada" people, who think he's going to happily stick to just political subversion, supporting separatists, economic and psychological warfare:
People said Putin "didn't need to invade Ukraine" and since he "didn't need to" he "would not."
