Val Kilmer Brought a Wonderfully Weird Sensibility to Every Role Even his choice of parts could be eccentric. In the end, he’s best thought of as a character actor trapped in a leading man’s body.

He was notoriously hard to work with, but Val Kilmer managed to create some of the most iconic characters in movie history. Two of my favorites were Doc Holliday and Jim Morrison.

Riveting and intense, this four-episode Netflix series examines that confounding and sometimes terrifying alien species: the teenager.
