This little house wren sings to me in the mornings.
His song is preferred over the cicadas screeching that we'll have for the next month.

I finally caught our little ruby-throated visitor tonight. He's been so fast, he's hard to capture. I'm so happy to see them again. It's my favorite part of spring.

It is *finally* sunny, after days of rain, but I fear it's a brief respite as we're due to get more this afternoon. 🤷‍♀️

The orchids are opening beautifully. It will be the first year the smaller orchid, raised from a pup, has bloomed.

A simple pair of French hook earrings, featuring amethyst, topaz, and a zircon set in the center of a pearl. It was made sometime in 2003-04 for a co-worker's wedding.

Made in 2009-2010, this is a pair of 2" long sterling silver earrings with rhodochrosite, amethyst, and garnet. They never sold so I wear them myself. One of my favorites.

Two large jars filled with a variety of citrus, herbs, spices, and peppers, topped off with apple cider vinegar.

I started some Fire Cider™️. We'll see what the results are in just over 3 weeks when I strain off the solids. Here's to your good health.

I've been experimenting and practicing with portrait wax seals lately. These are a few fae and angel portrait seals meant for mailing at some point.

My latest obsession is creating wax seals and sending elaborate cards to my friends. I feel like the handwritten letter has become a lost art, and needs to come back.

My Mother's Day orchid has three bloom stems this year instead of the usual one! She usually blooms for Valentine's Day but it looks like she'll be early this year. 🥰🪴

I made these back in 2009 (I think). Long enough ago to not remember the date, but I remember that they were a Christmas gift for a relative. They're Mozambique garnet and peridot briolettes wrapped in sterling silver, on a zircon link French hook earring. I might re-do this design. Thoughts?
