True leadership means respect for partners and allies. Even for the smaller and weaker ones. Never arrogance. Dear friends, think about it.

Me: I can’t believe UK voters chose to torch their economy with Brexit. That can never be topped.

We'd need to build the capability to make it that far first. Perhaps we'll commandeer RyanAir.

I think state owned is objectively better, as then it will be a floating terminal that's rented. Gov obliged to align with climate law too.

It will be ironic if the US leaves NATO while parroting about free-loaders as the only member to ever activate article 5 and summon other members troops into the hell of war.

Ukraine is not alone.

Germany together with our European allies stands united alongside #Ukraine - and against the Russian aggression. Ukraine can build on unwavering support from Germany, Europe and beyond. Their defence of democracy & their quest for peace & security is ours.

The USA capitulating to a country with a GDP only 4X that of Ireland's wasn't on my decadal bingo card.

The chart illustrates the correlation between the amount of electricity exported from the island of Ireland and the ratio of domestic renewable generation over electricity demand. The stacked columns show imports (<0) and exports (>0) of each interconnector (EWIC, Moyle, and Greenlink). The line represents the renewable generation/demand ratio. The chart covers the period from the beginning of February 15 to the morning of February 23. At 4:15am on February 23, a new record of renewable generation/demand ratio of 103.8% was set.

Strong wind generation this week also helps illustrate the impact of the new Greenlink Interconnector. On 3 separate occasions this week, we saw renewable levels higher than demand. Additional interconnection capacity helps Ireland export more electricity when renewable generation is extra high!

I'm visiting my brother in Singapore as I have been lucky to do so annually for the last two years. Anecdotally speaking, there's a *lot* more rooftop solar compared to my last visit. It will be interesting to see the stats when Q1 2025 numbers are available. #energysky

Interesting, I interpreted it differently Hannah.

"The CRU proposes that annual reporting ... will include the following as a minimum:

Details of planned measures to close the gap to zero emissions on an hourly basis,
including an associated timeline for delivery of measures."

Yeah, and the whole point is energy security while I'm not sure any type of security can be achieved with the US as a partner right now. Alas, we are ridiculously exposed economically through the massive presence of US multinationals here (that Trump wants to onshore).

In Ireland, it looks like we'll be pivoting from a state-owned LNG import terminal to a commercial US-owned LNG import terminal to import US gas. I think the hope is this would appease Trump.

I guess EGO push their batteries harder on the max power draw or something! I'd read it was good, but I didn't expect this good. Although apparently the smaller egos (cs1800 and below) have an unfortunate tensioning mechanism.

Depends on which tank ! Batteries come in different sizes so you can pick your preferred weight vs refuel interval trade-off.

I think what people are referring to in asserting you can't charge the battery during a power outage is the fireman's switch. If you have a manual changeover switch, you can backup the FS and keep the PV connected. If you are relying on an automatic transfer switch you can't backup the FS.
