Definitely worth a read— @vermontgmg.bsky.social raises an important question: why are ICE and CBP agents even armed at all, since they’re enforcing civil immigration law, essentially administrative rule violations. They’re more akin to meter maids than actual police officers.

@magaziner.house.gov's questioning is effective bc:
1) He knows what was CBP and what was ICE.
2) He asks abt tactics, not events.
3) He ties lack of accountability to funding.
