A scene may work perfectly in isolation, but in the edit it may slow the pace, feel disconnected or interrupt the narrative in a way that harms the overall viewing experience.

Yeah, of course they’re good. D’you think filmmakers waste time shooting scenes they think won’t be good? There’s plenty other reasons scenes get cut.
My Scott Pilgrim video has been demonetised over a copyright claim. It's clearly fair use and highly transformative, but my dispute was rejected. Not sure if appealing is worth the risk.
