I feel that! There's a specific quality to any material in its original language that can't be 100% replicated. This is maybe even truer with Japanese media and its quirks. It is definitely making me take the story and characters much more seriously this time around.

I have to say, Nier Automata didn't grip me when I first played it years ago due to the mostly empty spaces. I just started a fresh playthrough and this time it's coming together much better, partly thanks to the Japanese VO. Excited to finally see why this is such a community darling.
