The first wave of White House-ordered firings at the FAA included employees who play key roles in the safety of air travel — despite the Trump admin’s assurances that no “critical” staff was axed.

“Air traffic controllers cannot do their work without us,” one former employee told us.

Last month, I talked to Mark Dimondstein, the president of the American Postal Workers Union. He warned me that this could happen following Trump's efforts to privatize USPS during his first term. This not only threatens workers—people rely on USPS for essentials like medicine.

In 3 days, the number of measles cases in a highly unvaccinated area of Texas has doubled. There are now 48 cases, all of whom are unvaccinated, and 13 of whom have been hospitalized so far, for a hospitalization rate of 27%. This is huge figure in epidemiology. This outbreak will keep spreading.
