Panel 1: Two scientists try to reach Doctor Octopus, but can’t due to electronic barriers he has set up. Panel 2: Doctor Octopus, with a menacing expression and his mechanical arms raised, declares he now controls the entire atomic plant. Panel 3: Military and government officials discuss the crisis. One says they’ve never faced anything like this before, while another stresses protecting innocent people. Panel 4: Armed guards are posted around the plant. One guard questions how they could stop Doctor Octopus if he tries to escape. Panel 5: At home, Peter Parker is depressed and self-critical, calling himself a failure. Aunt May worries about him. Panel 6: Peter speaks on the phone with J. Jonah Jameson, saying he can’t get more pictures of Doctor Octopus. Panel 7: Aunt May expresses concern, but Peter brushes her off and says he needs to go to school.

Panel 1: Peter walks through school, downcast. His friends comment on how gloomy he looks. Panel 2: Students excitedly tell Peter that the Human Torch is visiting to give a school assembly. Panel 3: The Human Torch begins speaking at the assembly, saying he was asked to tackle Doctor Octopus but needs time to recover his flame. The principal invited him to speak in the meantime. Panel 4: The Torch performs a brief flame demonstration, showing fiery numbers. Panel 5: The Torch gives an inspirational message: do your best in school, don’t give up, and never quit. Panel 6: He says ability alone isn’t enough—he’s learned that from working with the Fantastic Four. Panel 7: Peter feels like the Torch is speaking directly to him and begins to internalize the message. Panel 8: Peter, more inspired, agrees with the message and begins to feel hopeful. Panel 9: After the talk, Peter thanks the Torch, saying the speech meant a lot to him. The Torch smiles and says he’s glad Peter enjoyed it.

Panel 1: Peter rushes to his room and changes into Spider-Man. Inspired by the Torch’s example, he’s determined to try again. Panel 2: Spider-Man swings through the city, saying Doctor Octopus won’t have the advantage of surprise this time. Panel 3: Spider-Man uses a high jump to sneak past guards. Panel 4: Guards below wonder if they just saw someone flying above them, unsure of what they witnessed. Panel 5: Spider-Man lands safely on a rooftop, undetected. Panel 6: He moves stealthily through machinery, trying to get close to Doctor Octopus. Panel 7: Doctor Octopus, watching from monitors, spots Spider-Man approaching and prepares to defeat him once and for all.

In early #SpiderMan stories, #PeterParker isn’t very heroic. He returns to showbiz, but #JJonahJameson gets him banned. His "heroics" are mostly about money, not helping people. When #DoctorOctopus beats him, he quits—until #JohnnyStorm gives a famous school speech that inspires him.

In their first face-to-face meeting, #CaptainAmerica wants to check on #SpiderMan and make sure he's up the responsibility of being a superhero. He speaks his frustration on missing Jackie Robinson breaking the color line, and encourages Spidey to not to give up on being an #Avenger one day.
