I’m yet to see any of his BBC stuff, but did watch Punishment Park again recently and it still shocked me to the core.

Mills referred to it as a money job to pay a tax bill but it is a highly atmospheric and downbeat thriller

I agree. With her career at a low ebb she didn't complain, just rolled up her sleeves and got on with it, biding her time until her luck changed. At the same time, she never phoned in her performances she gave her all. Even in this one whilst it is preposterous she tries her best to elevate it.

Ha! that would make sense, but the fact that audiences saw him killed off earlier makes it so weird. Meybe Conway, through his drinking, had forgotten.

And what is the deal with Tom Conway returning as psychiatrist Dr. Judd although he was killed in CAT PEOPLE? It just adds to the strange dream logic of the Lewton universe. Magnificent.
