Yes, I agree. I think the issue right now is that, in some territories, the conversation hasn't reached that point. Finding ways to highlight this is important but also challenging! I was certainly surprised in talking to many JP devs. There is a huge disconnect there.

I know this myself from talking to so many devs in Japan this past May. Culturally, the Western view on this stuff simply isn’t there and knowledge about what it truly is hasn’t disseminated yet. It’s so super different right now.

Also it may not hurt to give Koshiro the benefit of the doubt because culturally speaking Japan can be behind on a lot of what AI truly is or him being chummy to Musk on a very surface level. They can still issue out patches that take out the AI audio and carts, discs haven't been printed yet.

I've ordered several times from LRG I can say there is a fair bit of internet hyperbole when it comes to how slow they are or the quality of their products. But can't discount developers, outside of LRG, doing this like this. Because of how cutthroat revenue is for games, can't just break contract.
