The timeline of Ura Zelda development was after original japanese version, and before release of the US version.

It's not really that, because I believe Ura Zelda was actually made and ready in a couple of months after Majora's Mask was done, but the way the code worked would have required really hacky solutions if they wanted to do more ambitious things because of poorly planned 64DD code in the base game.

Just to answer a couple things about the gigaleak:
The Majora's Mask dungeons being on the disk at one point were added AFTER Majora's Mask was basically done. They only truly started developing Ura Zelda after Majora, with experiments and then moved to the alternate OoT dungeons.

Update: I confirm they've added a way to add content like backgrounds, emotes and more without having to update the game. The game is now able to handle events Tetris 99 style to some extent.

Honestly something I would have loved to have but was too lazy to do anything more than assembly (yes it was easier for me to just write assembly and go straight to the point lol)

- New type of event called Meteor where there's a lot more bonuses and malus on the track. Honestly I won't even spoil that one, it seems really cool.
- There's now Festival versions of every track (even has new music).

Okay so datamine time in regards to F-Zero 99 1.7.0:
- IT SEEMS they're trying to implement events in ways that doesn't need to update the game code.
- 3 more secret tracks... for a total of 5 now, which also means: SECRET LEAGUE Grand Prix when the GP is glitching.
- Music Player added in Workshop.

Super Mario Bros. Deluxe includes a calendar that goes all the way to the year 3000. Ironically, this reaches much further than typical modern computer and smartphone calendars. As such, even now Super Mario Bros. Deluxe remains a good option to keep track of far future dates.

They're usually incapable of getting an idea of what the casual audience is (without being seen as an audience worth considering that is)

It took 7 months for a new first party game to release after launch and it was Game & Wario

Well to be fair we can't judge those other 6 months yet we basically only know about 3 things and it can largely be filled with more stuff

I got bored so I made a Lua script for Mesen 2.0 for original Clu Clu Land to play using only Left & Right on the D-pad based on the direction of the player because I felt I suck at the game
I still suck just as much with it whoops lol
