Just kinda go by where I think I'll look for a series first. A standalone by the first letter I think of when I see the title. All Gundam shows I own would be under G, to keep a franchise together on the shelf.

PlayOnline is the nightmare of gaming seasons past. And anytime I get the hankering to dabble in ffxi again, it becomes an all new exercise in excruciating pain to navigate anew.

I legit feel bad for nintendo fans. While I've owned a few over the years, it's something I can live without; so, it won't really impact me. That said, I'll miss the next animal crossing.

80 dollars for the new mariokart on switch 2 feels like a dead on arrival move for nintendo. But my next thought was pondering if this is a reaction to mitigate cost increases on the console due to tariffs.

In a week following a race where both Ferrari cars were dq'd, I certainly didn't expect every article I read on every Formula 1 news site for the next week to be about a completely different team.

Nintendo Direct coming in to save my mental state this morning with announcements of a new Tamagotchi game, a new Tomodachi Life, a release timeframe for Witchbrook, and a hopefully no further delayed release date for Fantasy Life. All the comfy gaming I've been wanting and more.

I sincerely hope so, and that it is successful. "More manga on the service" is a nice idea for you, but if it's all paywalled at exorbitant rates (I know you don't set these chapter costs), it doesn't mean anything to your longterm subscribers.

Every new update feels like it has less to do with supporting the subscription model the website started with. First it was giving part of a series as the sub and charging for additional volumes. Now it's 2.99 for a single chapter of manga?

Well, Azuki just bent the knee within 24 hour of this article and is selling MangaUp individual chapters for prices up to 2.99 each that I can see. Maybe worth adding a note to the article. I'm pretty disappointed.

I believe it's probably obvious to all people running these websites that there is a lack of sustainable solutions to this right now.

Possibly? It problem depends on the people involved. But that also becomes a complicated thing about how the money is distributed, something that's not going to be appealing to every website. But it's a conversation that's going to have to happen.

Each website asking people to donate should keep in mind that they aren't the only website people consume. So, what's the solution? I'm not sure there is a simple answer. Could these various sites federate in a loose way and share a single pot of donations people could contribute too?

I see a lot of talk about supporting independent journalism, and I completely agree with that. However, none of these places address the larger issue of that. I consume a lot of independent journalism. I can afford to toss 5 bucks a month to 10+ different sites but can most people? No.

Crunchyroll sent me a "custom playlist" to watch via email. This was the list. I think picking 6 incredibly popular battle shonen series is probably not a custom list for me. Especially when I rarely watch battle shonen.

Makes sense to some degree, but that meaning that there won't be shelf stock is disappointing. I get we live in a world now that on the corporate level hates physical media cuz they can't repeatedly charge us for it, you'd hope to see something made like this available for at least a year or two.

The only chuckle I got was briefly watching Jack Whitehall as the host of the evening openly mock how stupid the entire event was. He wasn't wrong.

Decided to tune into the F1 75 event last night a bit late. They were showing an ad for the Brad Pitt movie, I scrolled back to the start and it was music performances by people I've never heard of. What a way to celebrate the upcoming Formula 1 season.
