I found some pulsed noise this morning and I thought this would be a good demo of SDR#'s Wide Band Noise Blanker (WB NB) and Natural Intelligence Noise Reduction (NINR.) Here's a quick video of the different combinations. Used an Airspy HF+ and a YouTwin Loop.

Thinking of putting up my Twitter archive online somewhere, now that I've officially closed that account. Unfortunately the archive is missing replies from other users and all the other interactions but it's a vault with many good memories of doing radio in the field.

Had a great time capturing the 31 meter band for 3 hours this afternoon using my Pi Zero 2W portable recording contraption and @airspy.com HF+ Discovery with the new firmware. Flawless baseband AGC despite a very hot antenna (2x6m dipole) AND the HF preamp being on. #PortableSDR #SDR #Shortwave 📡

Very timely post. Being a complete 3D printing noob, I was about to start experimenting with designing and printing an enclosure for my portable spectrum capture unit. I’d no idea that some filaments are hazardous! 😮

I really just get my Airspy HF+ updated to the latest firmware. I’m too many versions behind and there are too many improvements not to do this now!
