30.10.2025 20:45 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I wonder how much was an attempt to please the Queen and give her favourite a proper job. He comforted himself with outrageous arrogance. It shouldn't have happened.
30.10.2025 20:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Just me being picky!
30.10.2025 13:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's good. But not PMQs.
30.10.2025 13:17 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It really is pretty brain-dead kind of stuff. Fancy putting the livelihoods and lives of people on the line for an unattainable ideal.

28.10.2025 08:55 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yesterday this blog sought to make sense of the decision to drop the Chinese Spying prosecutions on the information then available, and averred that both the positions of the government and the Crown Prosecution Service did not make sense. Now the government has published three witness statements, the picture now changes. The governmentโs position now makes sense, and the CPS looks as if it made at least one serious mistake and possibly another.
NEW
What the Chinese spying case witness statements reveal
The Crown Prosecution Service appears to have made at least one serious error, while the government's position now makes sense

Other opinions seem to be very much available!
15.10.2025 19:27 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Whereas when I worked in one (Waterstones, trading as Dillons) you were paid until closing time, but had to keep on serving customers after that. All adds up to a lot of free work and a not very good view of your employer. Rarely buy stuff there now.

06.10.2025 06:07 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It amuses me that in one Doctor Who book I have it contains a really long essay dating the story from trying to make it fit other earth bound stories. Their conclusion was something like 2050. And there it was all the time. A differently timed tele-snap would have saved them all the bother!

03.10.2025 11:02 โ ๐ 16555 ๐ 2605 ๐ฌ 405 ๐ 107Article reads: Woman named as Archbishop of Canterbury in historic first The 63-year-old archbishop-designate is married to Eamonn Mullally, with whom she has two children. Originally from Woking in Surrey, she was the UK's chief nursing officer from 1999 to 2004.
This article manages to name her husband before it namesโฆ her.

02.10.2025 18:29 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Intelligent, thoughtful article as ever. Refreshing to read some sense. People have got used to the 1922 committee shenanigans under the Tories and have forgotten how much harder it is to depose a Labour PM.
28.09.2025 09:57 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0You clearly didn't read what I said. Disengaging with you now.
28.09.2025 09:51 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The same as if the Tories were in power still. It is a great disappointment to me that there is regression towards trans rights in this country right now. And the arguments are so facile. I have lost all respect for Wes Streeting for eg.
28.09.2025 09:44 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0It is actually better, not worse, for most of your list. And migrants and trans is probably the same. (Which is disappointing, I agree.)
28.09.2025 08:22 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 1But Truss only did 49 days! Not comparable. Starmer has already beaten two post war PMs for length of tenure. And not long before he beats Sunak's too.

28.09.2025 08:13 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Giving up on reality. I won't ever give up my membership
21.09.2025 19:42 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Haha. I get your point, but the Corbyn fan club isn't capable of decent behaviour.
21.09.2025 19:11 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Yep. Corbyn never got anywhere near recognising Palestine, because he is a narcissistic idiot who never achieved power. Starmer did achieve power and has noe recognised Palestine. What is wrong with you???!!!!!!
