Pupils explored colour, shape and atmosphere while using a variety of media to bring their own versions to life — paint, pastels and pen. The results were vibrant, creative and beautifully wintery! ⛄✨

Today we learned about the Ndebele people of South Africa 🇿🇦✨
We explored their way of life and the beautiful tradition of painting houses with bold geometric patterns and bright colours. Pupils then had a go at creating their own vibrant designs! 🎨

Pupils used the MTV thinking routine 3–2–1 Bridge to discuss ‘A Day’s Meal’ by African artist Elisha Ongere. Afterward, they created their own versions using tints and tones of a single colour with pencil, black pen, and chalk. Blending art and reflection! 🖤 #ArtEd #ThinkingRoutines #Africa

Working in reading trios, pupils had to spot the silly words in a passage and suggest sensible alternatives — great teamwork, discussion, and language thinking on display! 🗣️✅

We compared the climate of the UK with the Sahara Desert today 🌍☀️🌧️

Primary 1 pupils enjoyed a shared reading session with their Primary 6 buddies this morning. Lots of lovely engagement in sharing stories together.

Pupils created their own Top Trumps cards to showcase their knowledge of African landscapes and climates! 🌍☀️ They compared temperatures, rainfall, animal life, and even gave each location an adventure rating! 🦁🌧️ Such a fun and creative way to learn about geography! 📚✨ #IDL #Geography #Africa #Fun

Our nurture group worked with @mrshogan-dps.bsky.social to run a tuck shop to raise money for the Blythswood Shoebox Appeal 🎁 They shared their fantastic efforts at assembly, and thanks to them, 12 full shoeboxes are now on their way to Eastern Europe! 🌏 A wonderful achievement for a great cause ❤️
