I tend to think that everyone over 30 underestimates how much “Americans deserved to die” is the prevailing thought among left-aligned people under 30, which is why they don’t distinguish between the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan (justified) and the invasion of Iraq (not justified)

I do not know how to express this next point in a microblog post, but I also think that a lot of people looking back on 9/11 who weren't there attribute *higher* levels of awareness to the US population about the Middle East prior to the event than actually existed.
