Zoomed out crowd shot of 34,000 people in downtown Denver with Colorado mountains in the background
Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.
This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.
Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.
And the largest ever rally in Bernieโs career (and obviously, mine too).

Episode 93: Supermanโs Christmas Adventure
A 16-page dose of Golden Age goodness. A madcap romp with loads of silliness wrapped up in colorful paper and tied with a bow. This Christmas story is super.

Episode 92: Fables
A classic in the comic book pantheon by Bill Willingham and Mark Buckingham. Does it hold up? Does it deserve its place in the history of great comics? Is it political? Spoiler: yes.

Episode 91: Rachel Rising
This is a stark, scary, disturbing, and strangely funny comic. If youโve never read Terry Mooreโs workโฆyou should. He is a singular creator whose voice and vision are unique and unflinching. And this is one of his best.

Episode 90: Sensational She-Hulk
The series that broke with convention, broke with tradition, and broke the fourth wall. This classic series by John Byrne poked fun at the tropes and clichรฉs of comic books, the publishers, the creators, and the fandom.

This is a 90s extravaganza filled with excess, grittiness, & questionable costume choices. Itโs the book that caused a rift between Grant Morrison and Mark Millar that, letโs face it, is probably for the best.

Episode 88: The Flintstones
This reimagining by Mark Russell and Steve Pugh was more "realistic" and its situations and attitudes reflected a sensibility that is more modern (for lack of a better word). And there are punsโฆjust so many puns.

Episode 87: Bone
The classic, brilliant, iconic, beautiful, glorious, & wonderful BONE. It is a vaudevillian comedy, a Disneyesque cartoon, and an epic fantasy all at once. Jeff Smith created something special here.

Episode 86: The Spectre: Crimes & Judgements
A gritty, noir, horror thriller with 90s excess full of contradictions, missed opportunities, & confused messages. It wants to be progressive & poignant but gets lost in attempting to be controversial.

kyle_maclachlan Forty-two years ago, for reasons beyond my comprehension, David Lynch plucked me out of obscurity to star in his first and last big budget movie. He clearly saw something in me that even I didn't recognize. I owe my entire career, and life really, to his vision. What I saw in him was an enigmatic and intuitive man with a creative ocean bursting forth inside of him. He was in touch with something the rest of us wish we could get to. Our friendship blossomed on Blue Velvet and then Twin Peaks and I always found him to be the most authentically alive person I'd ever met. David was in tune with the universe and his own imagination on a level that seemed to be the best version of human. He was not interested in answers because he understood that questions are the drive that make us who we are. They are our breath. While the world has lost a remarkable artist, l've lost a dear friend who imagined a future for me and allowed me to travel in worlds I could never have conceived on my own. I can see him now, standing up to greet me in his backyard, with a warm smile and big hug and that Great Plains honk of a voice. We'd talk coffee, the joy of the unexpected, the beauty of the world, and laugh. His love for me and mine for him came out of the cosmic fate of two people who saw the best things about themselves in each other. I will miss him more than the limits of my language can tell and my heart can bear. My world is that much fuller because I knew him and that much emptier now that he's gone. David, I remain forever changed, and forever your Kale. Thank you for everything.
This is a beautiful tribute.

A surprisingly complex comic that deals with politics, and poverty, and even touches on gender identity. All coming from Jim Shooter who was not known for being...how should I say? Sensitive in those areas.

The tale of the love affair between Hank McCoyโs Beast and the disco-inspired mutant Dazzler. Is it good? Well, no. Does it have redeeming qualities? Absolutely. Does it have amazing covers by Bill Sienkiewicz? Hell yes!
