Thoroughly convinced of Anders’ proclivity to kill every plant he purchases, Sil is determined to thwart the disastrous wixen’s intentions, both for his garden and recruiting a magically disinclined apprentice.

Sil was perfectly content as the manager of the village plant shop. That is, until a certain wizard, Wixen Anders Kessel, requested a fire curry plant to add to what Sil assumed was his growing graveyard of helpless greenery.

My wife and I are very passionate about book trim sizes…cause we’re huge nerds! After literally sitting on the bed with a measuring tape, printed sample pages of Sowing Spells and a bunch of different sized books, I think we ironed out a plan.

Sil and Anders (originally featured in the Wizard's Garden short story from QW: Spring) are the dual protagonists. Sil - a seemingly non-magical plant shop manager. Anders - a wizard with a specialty in plants.

BTW, readers and bookstores, I'll be putting together ARC sign-ups and pre-order reward stuff soon, so if you want read about a cozy, magical garden, a chaotic wizard and his grumpy assistant in the vein of Howl's Moving Castle, watch this space!
