It’s a game theory thing tho right. If we are always voting for the party there’s no need for them to cater to your desires, only by not voting for them will they ever actually move left. In fact we’ve only seen the party move right in the last two decades and that’s horrifying.

Like I’m not saying I’m ever going to vote for a Republican lol, but what I am saying is that the Republican Party is a party that cares about winning elections and it’s very clean that Democrats care less about winning than they do about keeping their donors happy and that’s fucked.
