... And by that I mean we changed our system name lol. Hi, we're Selenelion Aberration! We go by Sol or Selen now if you're referring to us collectively

Calling us Grey is fine still, we just needed a name that represents who we are now as opposed to a few years ago ❤️

After seven long years of keeping our bots going, it's time to say goodbye to them 💔
We'll be shutting down our bots on November 14, 2025

Addendum: we'll be leaving the GFM up and will still be accepting donations from anyone wanting to chuck a few bucks our way- we don't want to permanently live with family and we'd still like to move out when we get the chance. Every little bit helps us to do that ❤️

But yeah, just wanted to talk about it here. It's been so exhausting being in this relationship and I'm so, so glad we're getting out of it. The fact that she has shown how little she cares and how little she wants to change speaks volumes about her. I'm glad to be rid of that soon.

She isn't kicking us out, to be clear. We decided to open the conversation about getting us back to Michigan during that blow up. It's our decision and we're glad to be doing it, even if we might get worse for a bit because of it. Ultimately I think this will be better for us and our well-being.

In a lot of ways it was cathartic, but in a lot of ways it was like trying to tear down a brick wall that just keeps rebuilding itself. Hey acknowledgements of wrongdoing are hollow. She doesn't care enough to make an effort to change, despite expecting change from us. It's rage-inducing.

But the fact that she expected us to "get better" while completely and blatantly refusing to do any of the things that we asked of her- while taking her anger out on us, while refusing to communicate, while disrespecting our needs... yeah, I couldn't keep my mouth shut anymore. I yelled. I swore.

We don't believe in a timeline for healing. We don't believe in pacing ourselves for others' comfort or desires. We don't believe that we CAN, nor SHOULD, meet someone else's expectations for getting better. And we never expect those things from anyone else either.

I'm very angry, frustrated, and upset at her double standards and hypocrisy in all this. Being told that we've been doing good at bettering ourselves over the last year, "but by then it was too late"- after she did the exact same thing, and only started getting better in the past year... ugh. Ugh!!

I won't get into detail, but something happened last night and I couldn't hold back any longer. I went off on her, in a very much needed way. In the end she agreed with me and acknowledged that I was right, and the way that she's acted is shitty, but she didn't seem to care to change anything.

UPDATE: we hit our breaking point with our ex, and we're going back to live with family for the time being.

We've been trying desperately to avoid this due to the health hazards of the house, but at this point I think it's ultimately a better place for us than living here is.

this was kind of a silly side quest, but also i wanted to recreate daylio (the app) in obsidian to the best of my abilities lol
daylio is only on mobile afawk, and we really needed an app that we could journal + mood track in that was cross platform. obsidian + syncthing our dearly beloved <3
