sitting in a waiting room this morning while my partner had a 6 hour long cancer removal surgery when I saw the news that the insurance CEO was shot. Im paying out of pocket because the best alternative for us is partial coverage @ 1000 a month with a 15000 deductible. Anyway heres a unrelated comic

My insurance simultaneously sent denials for meds while sending me letters saying "based on your health, you should be on these meds". Then denied the surgery I needed because I couldn't get the meds concepts of thoughts and prayers but was he pre-approved for emergency procedures or did he have to wait 5 hrs to be seen?

hospital couldn't help him until his insurance accepted the procedure Was the hospital in network? Did he really need to go to the er? Why didn't he try urgent care? The way I RAN to the comments and they did not fail me!!!!

Not me seeing this after my surgery (that was absolutely medically necessary) was denied did he pay his deductible first? did he try everything before he chose the hospital because the ambulance will be added on to the bill and that's pretty steep. is he sure it's not just anxiety? To the hero of this story, wherever you are now... Keep going and thank you for your service. o7
