Great piece; theres compelling character work in bits of Hades 2 but it feels like it's setting up a turn that never comes. It feels like a story written backwards from its mechanics, but in a way that comes out arguably worse than the first one

Anyway, since this is likely to be their last tour in the US where they're headlining I was glad to be able to tell teen me I still admire Shirley stomping and singing at age 59 in a city that helped start Garbage.

Insofar as young gay men are expected to have a diva to faun over, Shirley Manson was mine. It felt like a personal gift when Beautiful Garbage released on my birthday (especially because its lead single was called Androgyny, come on).

Gods, my last time was years ago and I can (sadly) imagine.
