So, I've been studying how they did the infected AI in Left 4 Dead, and by doing that I have managed to replicate it in unreal, sure the enemy just teleports up there, but you can see the raycasts happening. #indieDev #DevelopmentAchievement #GameDevelopment #gameDev #gameJam

more PSX goodness? Why of course

In our #indieGame which we're making for a #gamejam we decided we needed an inventory system - such a thing sounded daunting being the only programmer on the team. HOWEVER, this pegasus isn't one to back down from a challenge. I'll post footage of the system working later.

Framerate on this video isn't the best. It's just unreal engine trying to revolt against me but I thought I'd share some more progress on things in our test area (aka the default first person level) Let me know what y'all think. #IndieDev #GameDev #GameJam

Unreal engine has chosen the worst day to fight with me, but this is the life of an indie dev. That being said, I'm working on an inventory system and the nightmare is just making widgets behave I swear #UnrealDev #IndieDev #GameDev #Gamejam

Let's drop a teaser - this is from a bit eariler in development - before we had started making a level, but I spent a while making a PSX Shader and trying to replicate the fog seen in older PS1 horror games, what do y'all think? #indiedev #gamedev

Suffice to say, when we're ready, that big project will be revealed to everyone. I've been working on it for over a year and it so exciting to see it come closer to being an actual game which y'all can play.

Oh don't you worry, that other project is still ongoing, but I'm waiting for other teams to catch up, so thought why not do a Game Jam - thought it'd be nice to practice doing a more C++ focused project as opposed to what my other projects have largely been. #GameDev #IndieDev #IndieDeveloper

Yeah, at this point I just accept that I'll never be able to have it back up, the damage is done and some people just never will show remorse for dragging others down for no reason.

I'm just focused on getting my game ready to be announced now and as a result I've kinda abandoned most socials.

Ok, but who was gonna tell me the actual speed benefits of 'overpainting' for miniatures? being able to bash out a 10 man squad of space marine's armour in 30 minutes is INSANE.

Suffice to say, I am gonna be sticking with this method for painting Astartes going forwards. #warhammerpainting

If by some miracle, the users in question see this, I'd like this rectified. The damage that has already been done to my name cannot be fixed, but YOU can stop further damage being done to myself and the other innocent people you've listed. Remove the innocent, or take the whole thing down. 13/13

So, to finish up here. I do not condone the usage of my name, social media and online presence in a document of that nature. You're causing more damage to the innocent people you have been named on it than you are the accused. Such documents are irresponsible. 12/13

The actions of this group are so inconsiderate that when contested by people, they've doubled down and claim that my user is there for the purposes of documenting. If that were the case my username would be there and nothing more - my online presence as a whole is irrelevant. 11/13

It's difficult enough to get a job, let alone one you want to do and have taken every step in your education for. Having to take down my portfolio has now made it impossible for me to do so - meaning that my entire life has been turned into a waste because of the actions of one group. 10/13

My github (while yes is a public account) is not their place to stalk - it was being used to host my professional portfolio, which I had to take down to avoid having my name thrown across this side of the community. This is now causing more impact for me. 9/13

Earlier this year I was informed that my ENTIRE online presence had been added to this document, linking stuff such as my old twitter, my twitch account, my github, etc.

They had completely hunted down my online presence, and for what, what did I do? 8/13

I do not work on Fighting is Magic, nor do I intend to work on it.

But this is where the story stops being so positive.

I wasn't aware of any such thing, but apparently there was a document for this particular dev team - I'm not here to argue if it's legitimate or not though. 7/13

I got playing it, had loads of memories come flooding back - actually took the time to learn some characters, all the fun stuff.
I then became more involved with the community, making suggestions on how best to improve the game. One thing led to another and now I support the dev team with stuff.6/13

Fast forward to 2024, I'm finishing up uni and decided that I'd rejoin the fandom, something about it was missing and I think it's because I was able to make a few friends the first time round. I was curious to see if Fighting is Magic was still being developed, and to my surprise, there it was.5/13

I stopped engaging with the community, kept a couple of friends around who I still spoke to, but over time we too became distant. During this period of not being in the fandom I was productive, I picked up new hobbies, focused on my education, for a moment it actually felt like I was succeeding.4/13

So, a bit of history, when I joined the Brony fandom in 2015, I remember hearing about and playing multiple builds of fighting is magic. Around 2017 I left the fandom because I was prepping for exams and mostly believed that I'd 'outgrown' the fandom. So I stopped watching the show and left. 3/13

Recently (earlier this year) I found that my old user ChaoticGames20 is being run through the mud, why? Because some people think it's appropriate I guess, I'm not here to debate that, but I am here to defend myself from the potential slander that this can cause. 2/13

So, let's start with some pretense here - Skyfire is the name of my ponysona and my NEW online tag - I am slowly in the process of changing everything over but as you can probably all understand that takes time, especially with some services charging for name changes. 1/13

I've decided that if I'm gonna just get things off my chest I want to do it from a place of logic, not emotion. So I'll not be doing that thread tonight

Well, I'm having an interesting day so far, I'm taking some time to process things, but I think I need to consider just getting words out and getting things off my chest. But we shall see where I'm at in a few hours.
