literallyyyy. and for me it is always some sort of blanket strategic mandate to investigate how we could be using ai, almost never a 'hey guys i actually found this great useful process for a real task in reality that we do'

this is what i hear from the admin side of uni these days too, there's a constant sort of top down narrative about how we should be using ai but it's not actually fit for purpose enough to have become widely used and uni admin people tend also to hate it a lot

like generally in the content space i've seen it becoming a bit more acknowledged that a lot of work has to go into using ai in ways that aren't shit. you have to micromanage it

there's a constant push and pull for me, like, people feel a need to innovate and 'keep up' but understand a lot of the time the practical applications prove to be limited. including due to privacy issues. but there is an org-specific instance of c0pilot that may get picked up more idk

it's not just skills this technology will cause to be lost if socially mandated, it's cultures. is my feeling. it's not just an efficiency tool
