REALLY SCENT (’59), a Pepe le Pew directed by Abe Levitow, deviates from the formula in several ways. Set in New Orleans, Fabrette is born with a skunk fur pattern that repels any male suitor - that is, until Pepe arrives.

Jose and Manuel, a pair of Mexican crows in Friz Freleng’s TWO CROWS FROM TACOS (’56), are out to catch a grasshopper. Character actors Don Diamond and Tom Holland voiced the two loco birds.

In Bob McKimson’s FOOL COVERAGE (’52), insurance salesman Daffy tries to persuade a reluctant Porky to buy a policy that offers $1 million for one black eye. The working title for this cartoon was PREMIUM HAM, another pun related to insurance policies.
