This feels incredibly out of touch. I can't help but think that she means to encourage the building of more single family homes in Ward 10. SFH's that poor folks will not be able to afford. Does she want these affordable small businesses to (under)pay workers who have to live outside of the Ward?

If you think ICE won't come for you, you're wrong. I live in a building in Highland Park of mostly retired white people and they still knocked on our door and wanted entry. Will they stormtrooper our building like the one in Chicago? I don't actually know. But they COULD. We are ALL targets now.

I didn't discover until my 30's that teaching fulfills me in a way I didn't know possible, and my neuro-spicyness meant I had a very bad experience in school and failed out of community college in my 20's, so I didn't feel it was possible.
The few classes I recently took made me reassess that notion

I'm curious if becoming a school teacher is:
a) possible for me to do in the MNSCU system without any prior degrees after highschool? I'm not set up financially to self fund, need Northstar promise.
b) a reasonable thing to attempt when I'm in my 40's with no prior exp?

The next goal is to get fully portable easy to use installation USB sticks for very low feature (web browser and security updates) Linux that is compatible with a lot of old desktop and laptop hardware so I can get old folks set up with it as an alternative.
This is basically for fun, not a job.

I'm about 70% sure I just got a Linux (Bazzite) gaming computer up and running after about 6 hours of fussing with it. (No, my entire personality isn't going to become Linux.)
Trying to get this set before Windows 10 end of support next month was my goal, hopefully this'll keep working.

Nextdoor app posted this. It isn't real. Its AI hallucinated a school shooting, and sent safety alerts to everyone.

10 days after the Annunciation shooting, its AI sent a FAKE alert to people in the SAME area that another shooting was happening.

Reminds me of Microsoft Bob. I messed with it as a kid, and my siblings and I basically used it like a game. It was REALLY not designed for what we did with it though, would eventually get to the point of just crashing all the time on us until we reinstalled it.

I've often wondered what level of heat is needed to release the glue they use to attach those panels. Also if it's possible to use a series of mirrors to basically melt off the panels one at a time. Just fun science questions to ponder.

I have a background in learning technology, so if you or someone in the know want to write the content, I could spin up a moodle instance and populate it with political education lessons or courses or whatever the best process would be. It'd be nice if the DFL could host something like that though.
