A wonderful find - a very dangerous bookshop to browse. Eclectic, slightly bonkers and peaceful. Everything a good bookshop should be.

Apparently it's compulsory when visiting #Galway to take a picture of this building.

Nowhere to turn near Kettering. Syston is the nearest triangle but it's a case of how far you need to go down each "arm" before you can safely reverse. Leicester one way. Loughborough the second and possibly Melton Mowbray the third.

The Reg Varney image was in 1967. Barclays gave out punched paper vouchers which you inserted into the machine which gave you ten ยฃ1 notes.

Close up of a Flush sign in a Transport for Wales train carriage in English and Welsh

Had a great journey earlier this week to the lovely city of Hereford on one of the ex LNER trainsets operated by TfW and on the journey I discovered that the Welsh for "flush" is Fflysh and now my life is complete.

The building immediately behind the trolleybus was a chemist called Harrison Parkinson. I remember being very pleased about the symmetry of the names.

Awww...I lived there for three months (for work) at the end of 2012 and I really liked it. Possibly because the hotel where I was staying & work were all within walking distance. My main impression of the place was the number of street trees about.

In the 1990s there was a performer on the Yorkshire drag circuit that used the same song to end his show whilst changing. His name was Etienne (he was French) - we saw him many times at the Bay Horse in York.

A not uncommon situation to be seen at King's Cross but still worth a pic...9 platforms on the main line side all occupied. Taken about 10:35 Monday 9 June.
