I really want beginner cello lessons but first I need to buy a cello 🤣
My violin journey has to unfortunately be put on hold, the pressure of my violin sitting on top of my pacemaker site is too risky. But with a cello, maybe my hobby of learning to play classical music doesn’t have to end.

I have a wonderful husband who always reads up on a new game before I play. As I’m still healing in body and mind, certain things like the above I have to avoid atm. With time I hope to get better with it.

✋🏾 Hands up if you have ptsd from getting electrical therapy multiple times to the ol ticker. Here are some games I avoid due to sounds etc:

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing? 2? Questions I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up. Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.

Had my first online tutorial last night, I typed in chat that I couldn’t find my headset so will only type. But in fact it was on the table next to me but I was munching my dinner. Gotta have that learn and munch technique going 🤣

Monarch butterfly perched in a pink zinna

I pulled a monarch butterfly out of a giant spider web today just as a spider as fat as my thumb darted toward it. The monarch flew off perfectly, unencumbered.

I love watching the monarchs come through this time of year.

This is a box crab 📦🦀, likely Calappa calappa (from a Malay word meaning "coconut").

They're also called 'shame-faced crabs' because they pull their massive claws (chelae) in front of their face when alarmed.

Why are they squirting? This is a way of moving water over their gills to keep them wet.
