The Impasse by Michael Fournier. An insightful and often sentimental coming-of-age punk story in the context of 80’s teenage isolation & Cold War-era nuclear paranoia, with an interestingly applied RPG subtext. Mike’s characters are endearing in their innocence & isolation, capturing the era. CIO!

Syrah needs phenolics, and of course, fruit. The coolest sites in Coastal CA deliver the savory notes but too often lack foundation. A great example of a cool climate site for Syrah that has it all is Bien Nacido.
