Last year, a low-level employee of the Gila County Attorney's Office took a bathroom break and posted "Rot in Hell Charlie Kirk" on his personal Facebook. He got fired for it.

Now he's suing on free speech grounds.

Diary #605 Probably every bibliophile suffers from that syndrome where they buy books and then take a very long time to get around to reading them.  I’m certainly no exception, but I also do it with DVD…

The self-appointed TV watchdogs who were so common in the late ’70s and early ’80s…raised a huge public stink about any show that might be too intense for a timid 6-year-old with a nervous disorder. maggiemcneill.com/2022/02/01/d...

When a New Times reporter asked to see his phone to confirm, Miller asked if he could look at the reporter’s phone. New Times immediately agreed to such an exchange, but Miller reneged on the mutual look-see.

Thumbs down: Chandler kills Sinema-backed data center in 7-0 vote Sinema lobbied hard for the data center, but her involvement created exactly the opposition she tried to sweeping away.

Perhaps they should rename the Streisand Effect the Sinema Effect.

After all, Kyrsten Sinema basically took the Chandler AI data center project from undercovered and likely to happen to dead as a doornail.

Kyrsten Sinema is getting paid to push for a Chandler data center When the ex-senator threatened Chandler over a data center, she was working as a paid lobbyist. She might suck at it.

When Kyrsten Sinema spoke in favor of an AI data center at an Oct. 16 Chandler City Council meeting, she failed to mention she was there as a paid lobbyist.

Now, Sinema may have created an opposition she hoped to avoid.

Emails reveal that Kyrsten “Revolving Door” Sinema has been lobbying for an AI data center in Chandler since at least June. She likes to diss NIMBYs, but her comments to the city council pissed them off big time, records show.

As a resident of #Portland it is impossible to capture how unhinged this is. We are a low crime city and the ICE protest "siege" consists of one auxiliary ICE office that normally has at most a dozen weirdos debating what performance art they should use to block a single driveway

I know older people were conditioned to pick up the phone when it rings; I was well into my thirties when cell phones became ubiquitous. But that's a habit you really should unlearn.

When the phone rings, look at the caller ID. If it isn't someone in your phone directory, hit "ignore".
