Being indigenous especially coming from 2 nations gives me a perspective and place in the world that is unique to me yet similar to others at the same time. It's so beautiful to carve my own path with my ancestors in mind and being able to find community in people that can relate/understand my story wether they're from the same tribe or not we all want to make our ancestors proud and give back to our land that constantly empowers us In the wake of tragedy there's beauty in our resilience, Maya women would weave stories into our clothing when colonizers tried to wipe us from history and today it's a practice that continues and an art that'll never be lost, Tainos spirituality includes stories of Cemis who are our ancestral spirits keeping us connected to nature and the island as we move to honor them all

For a very long time I thought I wouldn't find a native American indigenous community online, and I found that through twitch, I really love that everyone gets the native humor that everyone seemed to have grown up with and we're able to laugh at really difficult times to get through it. I'll do something recent, with the government shut down and the whole snap debacle, my tribe has come together to help fundraise for people who will need food, lot of local businesses and a food pantry are coming together to make sure everyone is fed.
