I have a really cool idea for a game that I’ve been sitting on for a few years and I really wanna try and make it someday, so I’m spending time at work just diving into coding/programming/etc but it’s daunting as someone who’s never touched this before.

Yeah; I understand people want to get the most for their money but hunting for discounted stuff to be extra picky and demanding feels (like you said) a bit predatory. Especially when it’s an emergency commission situation bc a lot of artists can’t say no bc of said emergency 🙃

This always happened to me; whenever I had discounted slots for any reason, I’d always have at least one person per batch wanting multiple versions of it, asking to add backgrounds or extra large and detailed props, etc and if I said it would cost extra I got the third degree bc I “false advertised”

The main downside of universal for me is it’s a looooong ass drive through the worst traffic in LA, lol. Coming from my area it’s a 2hr journey.

yeah, it just got a bit too expensive for me and a lot of the newer IPs they’re bringing in aren’t my particular jam to justify the cost. TBH,I may become a yearly visitor to Universal now because fanfest nights was actually awesome as hell and worth the money. I had an amazing time! + still cheaper
