Nights like this have been rare in Turners Cross in recent years. A fantastic performance and the atmosphere was electric. Now, all roads lead to the Aviva. Sadly, it also underlines what could have been if this season hadnโ€™t been so badly mismanaged. Change is needed. #ccfc84

Heartbreak for Cork in Croke Park beaten by a single point. A gutsy 2nd half with 14 players, but 1-12 conceded from turnovers & puckouts proved costly. On Camogieโ€™s biggest day, too many questionable calls overshadowed a brilliant battle.

A tough outcome for Douglas against a sharper, more clinical Barrs side who took control early in the 1st half. Despite an uphill battle in the 2nd, Douglas showed positive signs. Sending off didnโ€™t help, though it likely wouldnโ€™t have changed the result. 2 big tests still ahead

Same old story last night, effort there, but lacking quality. Ran out of legs in the last 30 mins. Unfit Seanie when we needed him most. Too many new faces, team looks unsettled. Relegation confirmed. Hope Cathalโ€™s okay for his sake more than Cityโ€™s. #ccfc84

When Liam Met Liam: The 1927 Hurling Tour of Britain In 1927, a unique and memorable event unfolded โ€” Liam McCarthy, the man after whom the All-Ireland hurling trophy is named, personally handed the Liam McCarthy Cup to Corkโ€™s All-Ireland winning capโ€ฆ

This Sunday will not be the first time the Liam McCarthy Cup will be presented to the winning captain after a Cork Tipp match. The story of Liam McCarthy himself presenting the cup to winning Cork captain. @officialcorkgaa #GAA #Cork #hurling alloftheball.com/2025/07/16/w...

Promising signs in a meaningless game. New signings looked sharp, and great to see City take it to a stronger side. Encouragingโ€”but it only counts if they show up on a warm Friday night in Waterford. No excuses. #ccfc84

Cork lived up to the belief yesterday โ€” 7 goals in an All-Ireland semi is a rare sight. A different battle awaits now: Tipp or Kilkenny wonโ€™t give that space, and the hits will come harder. Last July, all youโ€™d have wanted was a do-over. Now itโ€™s here. #GAA #Cork #rebelsabu

Effort was back, but quality still lacking. Clean sheet owed more to St Patโ€™s than solid defending โ€” lapses at the back remain a worry. Big concern is the lack of goals; misses like Kitt Nelsonโ€™s are costly. Hopefully the new signings can change things. #ccfc84

Not a big secret that City lack quality players for the top division. That canโ€™t be changed for a few more weeks. However up to now you couldnโ€™t fault effort. Last night you could. A small few tried but most didnโ€™t. Thatโ€™s why it was an empty doomed feeling at the end. #ccfc84

It was just a small step to the destination we hope to get to. But it was a nice step. Great effort by both teams. In a draw there are a million โ€œwhat ifsโ€ with on field decision making/application and โ€œthe ref.โ€ This only gives us a chance. Up to us to take it.

Good performance by Ireland against a difficult Slovenia. Had chances to improve score line that might have got the past the required 4 goals. Still plenty to work on going forward.

Good performance. Attitude better. Ger Nashโ€™s enthusiasm on the sideline plus game reading/making required changes encouraging. Feeling still of something really lacking. Shels were awful. City are in a desperate position so poor 2 points to drop from winning situation. #CCFC84

Job done for Cork. Not the best of displays but strong wind made it hard for both sides. Forwards standing off when without the ball and teams easily able to isolate our defenders still a concern. Lucky to have such quality in defence and speed going forward. Need to show progress in Limerick.

A lot more learnings for Cork yesterday ahead of next weekend. No intensity yesterday. You could feel that in the crowd beforehand as well. Static for puckouts. Certain players off the pace. Hype will die down, Limerick exposed cracks that can be filled. So good time to do that.

No doubt the sending off settled the outcome. The margin would indicate the outcome would of been the same. Good position after 2 games. However the drop in intensity for critical periods in games is a worry going forward.

Nobody can be happy losing a 12 point lead. A lot of learnings here for Cork. Give refs decisions and you risk red cards. More streetwise at the back could of prevented scores. Still didnโ€™t lose and Tipp up next. Chance to make amends quickly.

Comprehensive victory for Cork over Clare. Strength of the bench is an encouraging sign with the All Ireland champ on the horizon. Tipp or Waterford next. Munster Camogie pre-fixing the final before the Tipp-Clare hurling match in Cusack Park will seem senseless if Waterford win the other semi.

Nice win in the sun. League went well. More players added. Box ticked today. Now the real business begins. Trip to All Ireland champions next. Two people looking down on this today would of loved it.
