Not a big secret that City lack quality players for the top division. That can’t be changed for a few more weeks. However up to now you couldn’t fault effort. Last night you could. A small few tried but most didn’t. That’s why it was an empty doomed feeling at the end. #ccfc84

It was just a small step to the destination we hope to get to. But it was a nice step. Great effort by both teams. In a draw there are a million “what ifs” with on field decision making/application and “the ref.” This only gives us a chance. Up to us to take it.

Good performance by Ireland against a difficult Slovenia. Had chances to improve score line that might have got the past the required 4 goals. Still plenty to work on going forward.

Job done for Cork. Not the best of displays but strong wind made it hard for both sides. Forwards standing off when without the ball and teams easily able to isolate our defenders still a concern. Lucky to have such quality in defence and speed going forward. Need to show progress in Limerick.

A lot more learnings for Cork yesterday ahead of next weekend. No intensity yesterday. You could feel that in the crowd beforehand as well. Static for puckouts. Certain players off the pace. Hype will die down, Limerick exposed cracks that can be filled. So good time to do that.

No doubt the sending off settled the outcome. The margin would indicate the outcome would of been the same. Good position after 2 games. However the drop in intensity for critical periods in games is a worry going forward.

Nobody can be happy losing a 12 point lead. A lot of learnings here for Cork. Give refs decisions and you risk red cards. More streetwise at the back could of prevented scores. Still didn’t lose and Tipp up next. Chance to make amends quickly.

Comprehensive victory for Cork over Clare. Strength of the bench is an encouraging sign with the All Ireland champ on the horizon. Tipp or Waterford next. Munster Camogie pre-fixing the final before the Tipp-Clare hurling match in Cusack Park will seem senseless if Waterford win the other semi.

Nice win in the sun. League went well. More players added. Box ticked today. Now the real business begins. Trip to All Ireland champions next. Two people looking down on this today would of loved it.
