Dear Alice Skye Your Freedom of Information Request Thank you for your request, detailed below, which we received on 22 September 2025. "Recent reports suggest that AI was used to analyse over 50,000 responses to the EHRC guidance regarding the exclusion of transgender people from society. Please could I request what were the data analysis prompts made to the AI to conduct this analysis of responses? I request the exact wording of the command given to AI for conducting the analysis." This request is being handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Response Following a search of our records, we have determined that the information you have requested is not held by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, nor is it held by any other organisation on our behalf.

I did a freedom of information request to the EHRC asking for the prompt used to conduct the AI analysis of the 50,000+ responses to its transgender exclusion recommendations. The EHRC responded that it was unable to provide that information as it is not held by themselves or any other party acting on their behalf. In light of the EHRC's lack of transparency, I have requested for an independent analysis of the data in which the AI prompt is made public to ensure no deliberate bias. I find the EHRC's inability to provide what questions it used to conduct an analysis of data to justify the equality impact assessment of a government recommendation either a high level of incompetence or deliberate malpractice. It brings into question whether an analysis of the data was actually done. Lessons to take away from this is to retain any AI prompt used to conduct analysis of data and include it in the final report of the analysis. Without transparency in research, any conclusions or insight gained cannot be trusted.

I have wrote to my MP in light of this to request that an independent analysis is conducted and that the AI prompt is made public for the sake of transparency.
I recommend others do the same.

This is what happens when you tolerate intolerance. We need people to challenge extremist anti-LGBTQIA+ articles in the press. We need to let them know it is not okay.

Even if nothing gets done, we need to evidence that we tried and were ignored.

11 October is National Coming Out Day!

However, nobody should feel pressured into coming out today. Rather today is an opportunity for others to share their experiences and offer advice.

All out against transphobia! On Saturday, November 1, TERFS intend to march in London, demanding trans exclusionary, discriminatory legislation, and threatening trans people on our streets.

We cannot let this happen unchallenged.
