My hopes for 2026 is more spaces that ban or discourage phone use, especially recording. We got horrible social norms now, don’t know how to socialize, and should be more distrustful of devices in general.

I really think we’ve relied on these corporations for so long, allowed them to brand & profit off human experiences and art forms. I’m sick of the merchification of everything, as shorthand for belief and community. I’ve gotten wrapped up in it too, because it’s easy and ubiquitous.
