His record isn’t far off Yorke’s and I loved him. I should love Watkins. But I just don’t.

As cover for Rogers there are plenty who can play in a 10 anyway - tielemans can certainly do a job there and we have plenty of central midfield cover. So yeah I say we let Asensio go

Ollie Watkins is villa’s top scorer in the premier league, and he’s delivered goals season after season for us. I should absolutely love him based on that alone … but those chances missed make that so difficult

I literally remember saying when we threw that Bournemouth game away that those points would cost us at the end of the season. And now here we are.

One decision has not determined our season.
Not turning up in big games, not turning up after UCL games, shite results like losing to wolves and spuds, drawing with west fucking ham and Ipswich twice … that’s what has determined our season

True. But let’s also not forget that these are not shit times. We were dreadful only 3 years ago. These numpties going on about how individual players need to be sold etc need to get some perspective #utv

This said, I’ve enjoyed the season. The UCL run was great and I’ll never forget that Duran goal beating Bayern, and what a great change to have a half decent run in the FA cup. Bring on the Europa - Unai wins it in his sleep

UCL qualification was not lost today. Look back at our games - we drew with Ipswich twice, lost to wolves, threw away a win against Bournemouth in the dying seconds, couldn’t beat palace, got thumped by spurs away, failed to beat Utd at all.

It’s those games that really mattered

Today was frustrating but the emi sending off and the disallowed goal didn’t really change anything imo - we were seriously bad and didn’t deserve anything anyway
