Nearly 1 in 10 U.S. adults identify as LGBTQ, Gallup survey finds The percentage of U.S. adults who identify as LGBTQ or something other than heterosexual increased to 9.3%, from 7.6% in 2023.

More than half of #GenZ #LGBTQ adults, 59%, are bisexual, compared with 52% of LGBTQ millennials, 44% of Generation X, 19% of baby boomers and 11% of those 80 and older. Older LGBTQ adults are most likely to identify as gay or lesbian, #Gallup found. #lgbt

Part of the change is only the increase of young people identifying as non-heterosexual but also had non-homosexual demographics found in older generations not died; the denominator would’ve been more constant. Death is unfairly biasing the data and demographic change.

A 2022 analysis of over 400 national linear TV ads by top global advertisers found that LGBTQ+ people and stories accounted for just 1.42% of total screen time. Only 3% of these ads were considered inclusive.

Thankfully, brands and politicians have remained unbiased and not swayed by the unfair advantage of LGBT demographics growing simply because old people are dying. In fact, few tv commercials represent lgbt; making it less likely LGBT even perceive reduced stigma or % change

This is only an aggregate rise from 7.6% to 9.3% for USA as a whole

Only 14.2% of Millennials
23.1% of Gen Z, only 1 in 5
