The Wedding Banquet (2025) feels uniquely terrible in that it thinks it’s doing queer audiences a service while actively utilizing tired tropes And refusing to commit to a single tone or any of its weighty themes

honestly that’s one of the things i liked about it? like, it wasn’t a Huge battle, but it meant so much, which was more impactful for me
