Listening to GameXplain’s podcast while playing Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U! Memories of the podcast, especially moments when they answered some of my questions, are linked to memories of whatever I was doing in the game at the time. Weird and cool how our brains work like that!

I was supposed to go to an audition I was really excited for today at 2pm. AWFUL traffic starts. The ETA movies from 2 to 2:10, and then all the way to 2:40 before I give up and go home. I assume the people in the accident were having a far worse day than me, but it still sucks.

It took 102 hours, but I FINALLY beat all 13 chapters of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition!! I can’t believe I’m saying this but the grind was worth it, chapter 13 was incredible and wouldn’t have hit the same if I hadn’t played through the base game again. Onto DK!!

I almost never replay games and I don’t play a ton of multiplayer games, so this is tough. Even with totk, if I ever did EVERYTHING in that game I probably wouldn’t ever come back to it.

Just got home from finally seeing James Gunn’s Superman and I say this without ANY prior affinity for the character: this is Gunn’s best movie, the best DC movie I’ve seen and a total 10/10 overall. It’s funny, moving and unabashedly political.

I played about 40 hours of Yakuza: Like a Dragon a few years back and had to give up on it. I loved the story but the combat just wasn’t for me.

Are there any other games in the series I should try, or is it just not for me? I’m tempted to try Yakuza 0 on Switch 2…

Nope! I got a magazine-sized package in the mail and I was so excited to open it and instead it was 38 pages of the same paper saying my request to have medical bills forgiven were denied!
