That being said, I don’t think the money that has been put in from my checks should go to anything other than the security of those that are retired now. My paycheck didn’t say we are keeping this % out for a government sponsored coup of another country for example.

To be honest, I never expected Medicare/Medicaid or Social Security to be around by the time I get to retirement age (roughly 20+ years from now).
