I, personally, as a reader, hate Substack (too big, too bloated, a bloody app with thousands of features no reader needs), but love things like TinyMail and simple newsletter formats, which help me track blogs/sites and keep aflow as a reader.

And yes, totally understand not to curate two mediums. Absolutely clear. Just musing in general. Back to our own blogs and sites is definitely the way to go to fight centralized big (social) media.

RSS? who is still using RSS feeds on the go... don't get me wrong, i love rss and had my feeds curated 15 years ago .... mmh - not sure if it helps to drive traffic back to blogs and homepages. why not a monthly newsletter with links to your blog as in "the last 10 stories to read" up or something?
