The Bernie Sanders who went on Lou Dobbs and sounded like a xenophobe was the real Bernie Sanders.

Israeli strikes that killed 5 journalists, as well as Israel’s response, reflect what some experts say is a pattern of Israeli attacks described as errors, with civilian deaths rarely leading to investigations that result in accountability.

Intentionally triple-tapping a group of easily identifiable journalists who are IN A HOSPITAL can in no possible scenario be described as an "error".

It’s just really unfunny how bad this analysis isβ€”to cite the Fairey β€œideograph” as important to the moment when Obama was a mass deportation drone monster and Fairey went on to do THIS for a genocidaire

But too many of the slaves died in captivity. And so Columbus, desperate to pay back dividends to those who had in-vested, had to make good his promise to fill the ships with gold. In the province of Cicao on Haiti, where he and his men imagined huge gold fields to exist, they ordered all persons fourteen years or older to collect a certain quantity of gold every three months. When they brought it, they were given copper tokens to hang around their necks. Indians found without a copper token had their hands cut off and bled to death.
The Indians had been given an impossible task. The only gold around was bits of dust garnered from the streams. So they fled, were hunted down with dogs, and were killed.

After each six or eight months' work in the mines, which was the time required of each crew to dig enough gold for melting, up to a third of the men died.
While the men were sent many miles away to the mines, the wives remained to work the soil, forced into the excruciating job of digging and making thousands of hills for cassava plants.
Thus husbands and wives were together only once every eight or ten months and when they met they were so exhausted and depressed on both sides... they ceased to pro-create. As for the newly born, they died early because their mothers, overworked and fam-ished, had no milk to nurse them, and for this reason, while I was in Cuba, 7000 children died in three months. Some mothers even drowned their babies from sheer desper-ation.... In this way, husbands died in the mines, wives died at work, and children died from lack of milk ... and in a short time this land which was so great, so powerful and fer-tile... was depopulated... My eyes have seen these acts so foreign to human nature, and now I tremble as I write....

Please remember that the disgust people have over Christopher Columbus is not based on some modern, 21st century β€œwoke” ideology, but rather on contemporaneous accounts of atrocities that make many modern genocides appear quaint in comparison.

Below, are the accounts of BartlomΓ© de las Casas.

It really sucks how the key to writing is really to just be stressed out for days before you actually sit down to write, obsessively thinking about the topic to the detriment of your health and personal life.

Sure def think it's a cultural force (I did see its user base spiked in 2024) but the original question wasn't really about Gen Z and/or chronically online people. I can imagine there are still plenty of nonLB "normies" who could care less about House and Possession when it comes to 70s film

10.10.2025 21:08 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

This just seems like selection bias: those who use LB and log every view are more likely drawn to niche horror and art films. Though I can also imagine for anyone who wasn't alive in the 70s who is interested in 70s film, you're more likely reaching for House over Close Encounters.

Regarding the Compact | MIT Organization Chart

MIT rejects "compact" proposed by the Trump administration.
MIT prez wrote: it "would restrict freedom of expression and our independence as an institution" and "is inconsistent with our core belief that scientific funding should be based on scientific merit alone."

It's a pretty big deal that the NYC Bar Association--one of the most prominent and respected bar associations in the country--is accusing the President of ordering the "unlawful summary execution," i.e. murder--of civilians in violation of US and international law. www.nycbar.org/press-releas...
