It would seem the enduring gift Pierre-Luc Dubois left Jets fans is not just Vilardi, Kupari and Iafallo but also the "Hey Baby" goal song he used that fans at Canada Life Centre have adopted as an in game anthem.

A few boos during the Canadian anthem but far more American fans joined in and sang.

That was one of those 'good' penalties. Pionk goes off for hooking but he kept a player from converting on an open net by taking it. Great awareness.

Another empty netter for Barron! 6-3 Jets.

What a play by Barron! Gets control of the puck on the kill with the Panthers net empty. Doesn't panic and with no space to shoot in the middle very purposefully banks it off the boards and into the empty net. Jets up 5-3.

Namestnikov takes a tripping penalty and Florida has the man advantage with 2:15 left in the game down 4-3.

Florida scores on the PP and this is going to be a nail-biter coming home. 4-3 Jets just over 3:00 to play.

Penalty expires but the Jets keep the pressure as Connor find Scheifele for his 3rd of the game. 4-2 Jets. Remember Scheifele getting feisty at the end of last game. Hell of a response game.

Jets getting stronger as this game goes on. Really great bounce back effort through 2.

Jets absorb the aggression of the Panther PK until Ehlers lays a cross-ice beauty into Scheifele's wheelhouse. He blasts it into the wide open net. 3-0 Jets. Winnipeg's stars are shining brightly tonight.

Panthers were the busier team and controlled more of the play but the Jets created higher quality chances leaving them up 2-0 heading into the 2nd.

Great pressure from the Jets top line leads to a number of chances before the Panthers clear the zone. Morrissey gets it back, immediately pushed it up ice to Vilardi who drops it to Scheifele. Wicked wrister to the back of the net. Jets up 2-0.

Jets under fire the vast majority of the first 15 minutes but a bounce goes their way leading to Kyle Connor going in alone and after a gorgeous back hand roof job the Jets are up 1-0.
