It has the oldest known penis in the fossil record, and Colymbosathon translates to ‘swimmer with a big penis.’

It shows appendage 7, the penis, anus, furca, and gills in lateral view. Appendage 2: 6-7 setae correlating to podomeres on distal half of exopod. Appendage 3: 8-10 endites on total limb stem (doesn't specify how many on basis and coxa respectively). Appendage 4: Unknown amount of endites after the larger 2. Appendage 5 endopod: "-has several setiferous medial endites and terminates distally in a cluster of about 5 tiny processes." Appendage 5 expod: >16 processes on the exopod. Other notes: Many of the appendages have an unknown amount of podomeres. No description of the distal end of appendage 7. "A sinuous finger like process of unknown homology projects from the posterior part of the furca."
