You should be thanking our brave men and women of @ICEgov instead of demonizing them.”

Senator Dick Durbin posts: “Your agents arrested a young cancer patient’s dad. She’d just returned from chemotherapy. No criminal record. Immigrants aren’t the threat here. You are.” Below the tweet is a photo showing a man wearing a cap and an American flag t-shirt sitting next to a smiling young girl in a sombrero at a restaurant, with food and drinks on the table in front of them.

If you take the time to read the whole Gates memo (which I did), the bulk of the content was mostly solid and encouraging. Really!

Safety Alert The FDA is advising consumers to throw away and not to buy the ground cinnamon products because samples of products listed in the table were found to contain elevated levels of lead.

The FDA added another brand to its list of ground cinnamon with unsafe lead levels today. You'll find it (DEVI) and the other 16 brands so far identified in the alert below. Do note that none of these are from spice companies like McCormick or Penzeys (which actually test pretty well).

2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.
